Google Contact Lens Investigation

Students will read through the article on Google Contact Lens.  Working with a partner, students are to fill out the article investigation outline.  Part 1 asks students to list positive and negative social, cultural and economic impacts.  Part 2 has students using pseudocode or flowcharting symbols to create an algorithm for the technology.  Part 3 has students identify abstractions in the article.  Students will look for places in the article where the author has generalized or left out details about how the technology works. Student can then write a simple program to mimic the technology. They can do this in any language the teacher or student chooses. Finally the teacher can lead a discussion on the role of data with this technology.  What data would we want to keep track of? What questions can be posed to be answered with this data?
