The CS10K Community is proud to partner with other resource centers for the NSF 2015 Teaching and Learning Video Showcase, which will take place online between May 11-15. We are currently seeking individuals to serve as showcase facilitators to help seed conversations and set a collaborative tone for the event. Facilitators will be asked to post queries and comments that not only invite the presenters but also site visitors to actively respond. So while “great video” is always welcome, we are hoping facilitators will go beyond this with more in-depth commentary.

The event schedule for facilitators is as follows:

  • May 11-12 (Day 1-2) - Facilitators will log in to the event site (http://resourcecenters2015.videohall.com) to watch videos and post queries and comments. It is important that these contributions are made during the first days of the event to encourage other event participants to engage and add their comments as well.
  • May 13-15 (Day 3-5) - Facilitators will continue to browse presentations and provide replies to comments made early in the event. By Day 5, facilitators will submit their top choices for videos that demonstrate extraordinary creativity in the use of video to share innovative work. (More information on facilitator voting will be forthcoming). Event organizers will tally facilitator votes to determine "Facilitators' Choice" Awards for this showcase. These presentations will be recognized on the event website and shared with the different resource communities.

We estimate facilitators will contribute 5 hours between May 11-15. In exchange, we will provide a small honorarium for this contribution of time.

Interested in serving as a showcase facilitator? Please complete this brief Google form: http://goo.gl/forms/BpiyDL2LxU no later than Monday, March 30.

PLEASE NOTE: Facilitators may not submit videos themselves.
