Teaching Teachers to Teach Data (Event Archive)

Session Overview:

This is the first in a series of community-wide events focused on Teaching Data. Held on Thursday, December 5th, this panel featured staff from CS10K projects sharing the professional development resources and activities they've been using to help teachers effectively teach data. Many of the resources referenced are available for use by other teachers on the CS10K Community.

About the Series: Data is a key topic in both ECS and CSP. ECS features a whole unit devoted to data and computing, and one of the CSP proposed performance tasks for the AP test is data focused. Teaching data is a challenge many in the community wished to discuss with other teachers and outside experts. On Thursday, December 5th, and Friday, December 6th, a series of panels and a keynote presentation were held to launch this discussion, which will continue on the CS10K Community site. All the sessions are recorded and will be available, along with additional resources, on the CS10K Community site for later viewing and discussion.
