    MOOC for AP Computer Science

    Amplify is offering a MOOC next year teaching AP CS, which an associated "MOOC Local" coaching service. The listed instructor is Rebecca Dovi, one of the recent pilot teachers for CSP. What do you all think about it's prospects? Is this likely to help make the current AP course accessible to more students, or is it likely the students already drawn to it will be the primary beneficiaries?

    Project:Connect - Summer Youth Programming Competition

    The Digital Media and Learning initiative funded by the MacArthur Foundation is offering small grant to host brief summer events that link youth, mentors, and educators in building social tools (e.g., mobile apps) for the social good. Applications are due June 10th, but the applications aren't hard to write (if this is similar to past competitions). Anyone interested in trying to pull something together?
